Did you know Sunday is National #TakeAHike Day? Staff from Kleinfelder’s #LosAngeles office recently came together to hike Mount Lowe in the San Gabriel Mountains. Senior Program Manager Melissa Pena shared that her favorite part was seeing the 360-degree views and walking through Mueller Tunnel, built in 1942 by the U.S. Forest Service as a fire road gateway to the summit of Mount Lowe. “A landslide eliminated the use of the tunnel by vehicles, and now it’s part of the trail,” she noted.
