- Strength, resilience, and a drive for change—qualities women bring to trucking and to Kodiak. We’re proud to be part of the #WIT2024 Accelerate! Conference & Expo, where our very own Rachel Wagner, Vehicle Programs Project Engineer, joined industry experts on a panel to discuss the future of autonomous trucking. Want to see firsthand how AI is transforming transportation? Stop by the Bridgestone booth, #2010, where our truck is on display. Meet the Kodiak team and explore the ways we’re moving the industry forward. Let’s shape a smarter, safer future together #womenintrucking #trucking #transportation #technology
- This #VeteransDay, Kodiak honors those who have served our country and continue to make a difference in industries like tech and transportation. Your dedication, resilience, and leadership inspire us each day. Thank you for your invaluable impact.
- Reducing emissions is crucial for the future of trucking, and the Kodiak Driver is built to make that future a reality. Did you know that the average truck generates 223 tons of carbon dioxide each year? That’s more than 14 times the footprint of the average person in the U.S. The Kodiak Driver can help reduce this impact by up to 25%. By eliminating idle time, optimizing speeds, and driving smoothly, Kodiak Driver-equipped trucks are engineered to minimize fuel consumption and lower emissions significantly. This means cleaner air, less fuel used, and smarter, more efficient trucking—benefiting fleets, communities, and the planet alike.#AutonomousTrucks #TruckingInnovation #KodiakDriver #Trucking
- The Kodiak Driver is ready for whatever happens on the road. Even zombies! Kodiak’s AI-driven perception technologies include the integration of Vision-Language Models (VLMs), which combine visual data with textual information to improve the system’s understanding of complex scenarios. For instance, VLMs enable the Kodiak Driver to recognize and react to unusual situations, like the zombie apocalypse unfolding in a sandstorm at night, even without prior specific training. Happy Halloween!
- Kodiak was pleased to welcome the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS) for a tour of our Texas operations, strengthening our partnership for safer highways. Mississippi’s highways are essential freight corridors, with major routes like I-10 and I-20 carrying over 11,000 trucks per day and connecting vital Gulf Coast ports and intermodal hubs. This infrastructure plays a key role in supporting the national economy. We’re proud to work alongside Mississippi DPS and other law enforcement partners to keep these routes safe and efficient for all road users.
- Maintaining our #1 rankings on The Road to Autonomy® Leaderboard reflects Kodiak’s advanced technology, commercial strength, and ability to scale. Supported by trusted partners, we’re setting new standards for autonomous innovation, making transportation safer and more efficient. We’re ready for the demands of the road ahead
- Our annual Oktoberfest celebration is a team favorite, and the highlight is always the Stein-holding competition. With arms extended and steins filled, Kodiakers put rarely flexed muscles to the test. The winning times? Over 10 minutes for both the men and women! Think you could do it? Give it a try.
- Unlocking the Future of AI in Autonomous TruckingShubham Shrivastava, Kodiak’s Head of Machine Learning, recently joined the AI in Action podcast to discuss how we’re leveraging AI to build the future of over-the-road trucking. From advanced perception systems to scalable solutions that enhance efficiency and safety on highways, Shubham explores how we’re building AI-driven autonomous technology for the trucking industry. - Boosting fleet capacity and predictability. Traditional long-haul trucks average around 100,000 to 110,000 miles per year, typically covering about 500 miles a day. Kodiak Driver-equipped trucks triple that capacity, reaching 250,000 to 300,000 miles annually. This means more goods are moved, maximizing asset utilization and ensuring a predictable, streamlined operation. With fewer out-of-route miles and optimized routes, fleets operating the Kodiak Driver experience a new level of efficiency—helping them stay ahead in the trucking industry.#AutonomousTrucks #Trucking #Logistics #KodiakDriver
- Earlier this year, we surpassed 50,000 long-haul autonomous miles with Bridgestone and J.B. Hunt, proving the real-world impact of autonomous technology. Learn more about how we’re hauling tires from South Carolina to Dallas, while laying the foundation for a driverless future. Watch Kodiak’s Michael Wiesinger share more insights in his interview with Fleet Equipment, and see how we’re shaping the next era of logistics.
