The Kodiak Driver is ready for whatever happens on the road. Even zombies! Kodiak’s AI-driven perception technologies include the integration of Vision-Language Models (VLMs), which combine visual data with textual information to improve the system’s understanding of complex scenarios. For instance, VLMs enable the Kodiak Driver to recognize and react to unusual situations, like the zombie apocalypse unfolding in a sandstorm at night, even without prior specific training. Kodiak was pleased to welcome the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS) for a tour of our Texas operations, strengthening our partnership for safer highways. Mississippi’s highways are essential freight corridors, with major routes like I-10 and I-20 carrying over 11,000 trucks per day and connecting vital Gulf Coast ports and intermodal hubs. This infrastructure plays a key role in supporting the national economy. We’re proud to work alongside Mississippi DPS and other law enforcement partners to keep these routes safe and efficient for all road users.

Boosting fleet capacity and predictability. Traditional long-haul trucks average around 100,000 to 110,000 miles per year, typically covering about 500 miles a day. Kodiak Driver-equipped trucks triple that capacity, reaching 250,000 to 300,000 miles annually.
