Playgrounds should provide children, of a wide range of ages, with a fun environment as well as planned spaces that engage physical, creative, cognitive, and social skill development. That’s why inclusion and universal design principles are incorporated into both our playground and fitness equipment.

National Native American Heritage Month, celebrated each November, recognizes the traditions and contributions of Indigenous communities. Last week, we had the privilege to join the Town of Laurel for the "Blessing of Tidewater Park." This ribbon cutting included the Nanticoke Chief's and spiritual leader's blessing, along with the traditional storytelling of "Rainbow Crow, a Nanticoke Legend." In addition to the vibrant Rainbow Crow Robinia play structure, the playground equipment at Tidewater Park also honors other Native American legends, including Turtle Island: The Story of Creation, Squirrel Council, and How the Beaver Got its Tail. We are grateful for the partnership with the Nanticoke Indian Tribe, Laurel Redevelopment Corporation, University of Delaware, Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation, and Town of Laurel. Play drives all aspects of childhood development, which is why we believe all children deserve access to safe spaces where they can explore their creativity, test their boundaries, build relationships with peers, and grow through play. This past weekend, we had the privilege to join community members in Uvalde, Texas for a KABOOM! playground build. The playground at Studer Park is one part of the nonprofit's larger initiative to end PlaySpace inequity in the City of Uvalde. This was not only an opportunity for KOMPANions of all teams to learn what it takes to install our playground equipment, but also to reinforce our commitment to creating happier and healthier communities. 🏆 Award-winning sustainable playground design 🌳 Given for exceptional public space enhancement through sustainable choices, the City of Castlegar has received the Scotts Turf Builder Outstanding Achievement Landscape Award for its recently completed Millennium Park. The award specifically highlights Canada's tallest castle play structure, along with the playground safety surfacing, landscaping and native plant choices.
