McLeod Health is the region's destination for medical excellence. Our excellence extends from the Midlands to the Coast along the border of North and South Carolina - serving more than one million people. As medical needs grow – we grow, expand, and improve our facilities and services. The McLeod Health network is comprised of 7 hospitals with locations in Florence, Darlington, Dillon, Manning, Cheraw, Loris, and Little River. We have also expanded into the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach with physician practices, outpatient services and a free-standing emergency department. Founded over a century ago, McLeod is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system which features the strength of 850 physicians and 2,700 registered nurses, and approximately 15,000 team members. McLeod constantly seeks to improve patient care with efforts that are physician led, data-driven and evidence-based.

This week, to honor Veterans Day, McLeod Health is honoring its Veterans by displaying pictures of staff who have served the United States in all branches of military service. The displays can be seen in the Cafeteria on all campuses through Nov. 17. Please thank these McLeod staff members who have served our country and protected our freedom.

Tracie Jacobs, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, cares for patients at McLeod Family Medicine Health & Fitness with Dr. Kenneth Faile. As a family nurse practitioner with a deep passion for helping others, Tracie manages a wide range of health issues in the outpatient family practice setting. A native of Hartsville, Tracie is a proud parent of three children and a grandbaby, Sammy Grace. She welcomes new patients ages two years and older. McLeod Health Clarendon presented the final pledge payment of $25,000 to USC Sumter on Tuesday, Nov. 6. McLeod Health Clarendon supported the USC Aiken at Sumter Nursing Program through naming the “McLeod Health Nursing Student Lounge.” The donation will support student and equipment/supply needs for the USC Sumter Nursing Education Center. McLeod Health Carolina Forest is delighted to announce the 5th anniversary of its Emergency Department, a milestone that marks half a decade of providing critical, life-saving services to our community. Since opening in October 2019, the Emergency Department has handled more than 65,000 patient visits, demonstrating a strong commitment to timely and effective emergency medical services.
