This week, Midwest Transplant Network had the honor of welcoming back Dr. Brittany Clayborne as our special guest speaker at Town Hall. Dr. Brittany, a heart transplant recipient, cancer survivor and a great friend to MTN, shared her insight as the keynote speaker at each of MTN’s 2024 symposia events – Columbia, Arrowhead and Wichita, when she spoke at the Kansas City event, she talked about her powerful journey alongside her son, Micah, who was 14 and on the heart transplant list at the time. We were overjoyed to learn that Micah had received his life-saving heart transplant in October 2024—and in an extraordinary connection, his donor is from the MTN service area. Their story is a profound reminder of the life-changing impact of organ donation and the importance of our shared mission. We are grateful to Dr. Brittany for sharing both of their journeys and for reminding us why our work matters. 💜💚#GiveHopeShareLife- +2

At the 2025 Rose Parade® in Pasadena, floragraphs honoring organ, eye and tissue donors will take center stage on the Donate Life float. These stunning portraits, made entirely of organic materials, symbolize courage and hope. 💚💜 This year, Midwest Transplant Network donor hero Joe Hecht is among those honored. Joe was a kidney donor who saved two lives. His family’s legacy of generosity continues to inspire, with Joe’s grandfather also being a donor. Two dedicated volunteers, helped bring Joe’s floragraph to life. As they worked on the intricate details, they reflected on Joe’s life, his family’s strength, and the hope his daughters will carry forward. Don’t miss the Rose Parade tomorrow to see these beautiful tributes and celebrate the gift of life.#GiveHopeShareLife #RoseParade #DonateLife - Two of our incredible Midwest Transplant Network Ambassadors, both heart recipients, traveled to Pasadena to help decorate the 2025 OneLegacy Donate Life Rose Parade® float!
