- Taking a major step to increase its face-to-face interaction with global leaders and opinion makers, Newsweek hosted a special gathering in Davos 2025 to explore the intersection of agriculture and climate change, and the importance of sustainable practices in achieving global climate objectives. The event, titled “Aligning Agriculture with Global Climate Goals,” featured Steve Magami, CEO, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the pioneering agribusiness Agrovision, who was interviewed by Nigel Holloway, the Editorial Director of Vantage Research and Newsweek Vantage, the thought leadership arm of Newsweek. It was streamed live at https://lnkd.in/ehFDTmqH. “We’re delighted to organize this gathering and such a distinguished panel of experts at Davos” Dev Pragad said, Newsweek Owner and CEO “This event is a major step for us, in our effort to ramp up our interaction with thought leaders on a global basis. As a worldwide news organization, it only makes sense to interact more closely with leading news-shapers and opinion-makers on important topics of the day.” Previous events have included a discussion about how energy and technology companies are striving to balance climate innovations driven by AI-assisted breakthroughs with the power demand needed to generate them, and an in-depth examination of three critical sectors – energy, transportation and industry – and how they must come together to accelerate progress toward net zero emissions. The Davos session explored such topics as how regenerative agriculture can be scaled to restore ecosystems, as well as how sustainable food systems are transforming and how ongoing agricultural transformation is addressing modern challenges like sustainability.

Day 4 of “Prepping for the Inauguration” Our final day in D.C. was nothing short of incredible! Thanks to the Secret Service, we got exclusive access to see how they prepared for the Starlight Inaugural Ball at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. From capturing behind-the-scenes footage of their K-9 teams conducting security sweeps to interviewing agents about their crucial roles, we witnessed firsthand the dedication it takes to ensure these events run smoothly. We were also given access to the Capital One Arena, where the indoor parade took place, and even got to step into the garage where ‘The Beast’ and the other limousines were parked. Seeing the Secret Service in action and interviewing the assistant Special Agent in charge gave us incredible insight into the coordination and adaptability it takes to make these events happen—especially how they completely changed the parade plans in just a few days due to the cold weather! It was surreal to be directly underneath the president and see ‘The Beast’ up close. We couldn’t be more grateful for the Secret Service’s access and for showing us what it takes to protect and secure such historic moments. What an unforgettable way to end our time in Washington, D.C.! - Newsweek reposted this

🚁 Day 2 / Part 1 of “Prepping for the Inauguration” with UNCONVENTIONAL Today, we had the privilege of going behind the scenes with the DC Metro Police to learn how they’re preparing to ensure safety during the inauguration. We took to the skies in an Airbus H-125 with pilot Kevin to explore how MPD helicopters play a vital role in monitoring crowds and providing real-time situational awareness. At MPD Headquarters, we toured the Joint Operations Command Center (JOCC) with Commander Fitzgerald and visited the Real-Time Crime Center, where we saw firsthand how these units work together to protect civilians during such a monumental event. A heartfelt thank-you to the DC Metro Police, MPD Headquarters and their incredible teams for welcoming us and sharing their important work. Stay tuned as we continue to uncover the stories behind the scenes of this historic moment!
