Introducing our "Purple Squirrel Job of the Month" 🐿 This month, our spotlight is on the Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Engineer (ICE Engineer) position, and it was a true Purple Squirrel quest! The challenge? We needed someone with a specialized skillset: deep expertise in Boiler Controls Engineering, Thermodynamics, Boiler Heat Transfer, and NFPA compliance. But that wasn’t all—they also had to master logic diagrams and write control narratives for optimized system performance. How did we uncover this rare gem? It took dedicated research into boiler heat transfer, control systems, and even how feed rates and air flow impact operations. This deep dive into the technical aspects of the role helped us identify the perfect candidate, someone with the exact qualifications we needed to fill this niche role.
