- As we ring in the new year, we looked back on some of the standout moments from The Nordy Pod in 2024. Our host Pete Nordstrom talked to some of the leaders making waves in their respective industries: retail leaders like Jill Norton, president of Vince, and Jo Horgan, founder and co-CEO of MECCA Brands; entrepreneurs like Tory Burch and Brandice Daniel; and iconic writers like Issa Rae and Puck fashion correspondent Lauren Sherman. It’s been 13 years since my wife Brandy and I started Smooch (Seattle Musicians for Children's Hospital), and we’re really proud of the impact it’s made in the lives of families from our community and across the U.S. Every year, I’m blown away by the generosity of the artists, guests, and donors that make this event a success, and this year was no exception. On this week’s episode of The Nordy Pod, we’re taking you behind the scenes to learn more about how the event comes together and the cause it supports. You’ll hear from Jeff Sperring, MD, CEO of Seattle Children’s Hospital, along with a family whose life has been directly impacted by the Uncompensated Care fund. You’ll also hear from Megan Jasper, CEO of Sub-Pop Records, about what it takes to put together a show of this scale. - On this week’s episode of The Nordy Pod, our host Pete Nordstrom talks to Giorgio Canali, regional director of North America for luxury clothing brand Canali. Founded in 1934, Canali set out to offer customers high-quality, Made-in-Italy suiting to wear for all occasions — in the office, at events and for special occasions. 90 years and three generations of Canalis later, they have maintained those values while expanding their collection to offer their customers more casual additions to their wardrobe. Pete and Giorgio talk about Canali's 20-year partnership with Nordstrom, their adaptation to the casualization of clothing, and their creative methods of reaching new and younger customers — including an official partnership with FC Internazionale Milano. We were proud to partner with Baby2Baby for their annual holiday distribution event at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. With support from celebrities like Demi Lovato, Ali Wong, Kelly Rowland, and Sydney Leroux, alongside our dedicated Nordstrom volunteers, we helped bring joy and essential items to 500 children in need, creating unforgettable holiday memories. - Last week, Nordstrom NYC celebrated our Wonder All the Way campaign and holiday takeover, The Blizz on 57th Street, with a special shopping event for industry tastemakers, customers and friends of Nordstrom. Guests including Amy Sedaris, Busy Philipps, Molly Ringwald, Ronny Chieng, Tiffany Haddish, Laura Kim, Fernando Garcia, Hanne Gaby Odiele and more enjoyed the festive store takeover featuring interactive games, holiday-themed treats, and of course, the larger-than-life inflatable characters.
