The CDD Council recently met for its Annual Public Meeting conducting a full slate of business and engaging discussion, including the appointment of a Council Member Ketrina Hazell (front left) as Council Vice Chair and the reappointment of Council Member Shameka Andrews (front right) as Caucus Chair. New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities Acting Commissioner Willow Baer (back center) was a special guest at the meeting, and discussed new programs and agency updates, pictured with CDD Executive Director Kristin Proud and Council Chair Dave Deuel. Council Member Bin Feng gave an enlightening presentation on developmental disability in China based on his recent trips back to his country of birth. During National Family Caregiver's Month, learn more about a new, innovative app called Abilibee supported by the CDD and created by Abilities First, Inc. Abilibee guides users through critical NYS system changes and life transitions, from EI to adulthood, simplifying processes and providing essential tools to empower self-advocates, parents and caregivers. Each year, the CDD is federally required to submit a Program Performance Report describing our progress in achieving our goals and objectives in our 5-year State Plan and the outcomes and impacts of our work.
