Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Florida is the first hospital in the Southeastern U.S. to successfully implement the SavvyWire® guidewire technology in transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) valve-in-valve procedures. The SavvyWire® guidewire is the first-and-only sensor-guided Transcatheter valve replacement solution, designed to enhance procedural efficiency and effectiveness. By combining performance, pressure, and pacing capabilities into a single device, SavvyWire® replaces multiple traditional tools, including the TMVR guidewire, access kit, pacing lead, closure device, and transducer. This streamlining of the procedure reduces the number of devices required, minimizes the need for additional venous access, and enhances overall workflow efficiency. When Frank wasn’t responding, Katrina called 911 and immediately started CPR. The 911 operator, Jeremiah, helped keep her calm and guided her to prepare the house for the paramedics, all while maintaining CPR: chest compressions, unlocking the front door, more chest compressions, putting the dog in a safe area, and more compressions. Four minutes later, the eight-person Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue crew showed up: Captain Jeff Green, Driver Engineer Mark Perkins, Fire Medic Dustin Brice, Firefighter Karsen Andrews, Lieutenant Ben Carter, Fire Medic Adrian Gordillo, Fire Medic Corey Williams, Lieutenant Dan Norton. Frank was brought to #PalmBeachGardensMedicalCenter. He was in cardiac arrest. One of our specialties is heart care.
