- The clinical development industry is at a crossroads. 🚦 It faces challenges like economic pressures and talent shortages, while also seeing opportunities in new technologies and innovations. Success depends on rethinking the outsourcing model. In the latest issue of Pharmaceutical Outsourcing, Jenny Denney, MBA, PMP explores how to navigate these dual forces to create a more agile, efficient and patient-focused future. She also dispels common myths and misconceptions about Functional Service Provider (FSP) models, offering clarity on how they can drive success.#FSPFacts #ClinicalDevelopment #OutsourcingStrategies
- Parexel kicked off our 2025 Sales and Growth Summit this week with Peyton Howell reaffirming the company's commitment to bringing patient insights to optimize trials while ensuring best-in-class delivery for sponsors. Further demonstrating our Patients-First focus, Stacy Hurt 🌻 and Jimmy Bechtel, MBA of Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) discussed how CROs can better support sites to streamline clinical trials for patients. 👇 1️⃣ "Establish a feedback loop, not just a feedback line." Implement changes based on site input and communicate back to sites when changes are made. 2️⃣ "Get in their corner." Be an advocate for new sites with sponsors to help address financial struggles faced by sites and build foundational relationships. 3️⃣ "Right-size recruitment efforts are key." While emerging sites may benefit from centralized recruiting methods, allow experienced sites to provide input on recruiting based on what they know works. 4️⃣ "Focus on interoperability and integration of tools." Sites are ready to adopt new technology for the sake of an improved patient experience, but data entry is duplicative and burdensome if the tools don't speak to one another. Where do you see opportunity for CROs and sites to better collaborate? Let us know below #ClinicalTrials #SCRS
- 🕊️ On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusivity in clinical research and health equity. We recently hosted Dr. Jayne Morgan, M.D., a cardiologist and women's health expert, for an insightful lunch and learn discussion. She highlighted persistent health disparities affecting Black Americans, especially Black women, and its impact on health outcomes. Dr. Morgan emphasized the need for diversity in clinical trials and medical research, particularly in women's health issues. Her presentation underscored the importance of considering lived experiences and social determinants, like income, when addressing health inequities. It also reinforced the critical need to eliminate racial bias in medical formulas and diagnostic tools. As we honor Dr. King's legacy, we're inspired to continue our work toward a future where clinical research truly represents all communities, ensuring better health outcomes for everyone.#MLKDay #HealthEquity
