Professional Driver Named TCA Highway Angel for Heroic Acts TCA has named William Mitchell from Alto, Georgia, a TCA Highway Angel for his brave actions on October 16, 2024, in Jefferson, GA on U.S. Highway 29. Mitchell witnessed a crash between a pickup truck and a tanker truck that caused a massive fireball when the pickup struck the tanker’s fuel tank. Without hesitation, he parked his truck and rushed to the scene. He found the driver ejected and trapped under the truck, engulfed in flames. Mitchell quickly retrieved his fire extinguisher and put out the flames threatening the driver’s life. William Mitchell drives for Penske Logistics out of Reading, PA.
