Pond is excited to announce we have officially broken ground on Fire Station 15 in Clayton County, Georgia. Pond is providing architectural, engineering, and design services for this 9,500-square-foot fire station in partnership with county officials, first responders and consulting partners Shear, ME^3, and J&A. This two-story station is designed with essential amenities, including housing, a kitchen, dining and recreation areas, and administrative offices to support firefighters and enhance services for the community. Pond is proud to announce that the Vilano Beachfront Park Improvement project located in Vilano Beach, Florida, has received the Inclusive Design Award from the Florida Planning and Zoning Association. Pond, in association with Matthews | DCCM, was responsible for conceptualizing and developing the design and served as the project's environmental consultant, architect, and structural engineer. The St. Johns County Parks & Recreation Department and the Vilano Beach Main Street Board had a vision for a space where people of all ages and abilities could gather. The Vilano Beachfront Park features a playground, wheelchair access to the beach, an accessible wooden ramp, a turn-around for wheelchairs, and an overlook with views of the ocean. Ramps lead to the performance pavilion and the terraced amphitheater site is gently sloped to maximize access. Permanent changing stations provide full accessibility with transfer benches. Pond would like to thank St. Johns County, Florida, the Parks & Recreation Department, the Vilano Beach Main Street Board, and design partners Matthews | DCCM and Haddad Engineering, Inc. for helping bring this vision to life.#PowerofPond

ANNOUNCEMENT: Raymond-Pond Joint Venture Awarded California Air National Guard Energy Security and Resiliency Study Pond & Company (Pond), an industry leader in engineering, architecture, planning and construction management services, has been awarded a task order in a joint venture with Raymond, an expanding architecture, engineering, and building envelope small business, by the California Air National Guard (CAANG) for Architect-Engineer (A-E) Design and Related Services to conduct an installation energy resiliency study at the 144th Fighter Wing, in Fresno, California. Under the scope of services, Pond will evaluate the installation’s energy systems - including on-base solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays and controls system – and provide to the CAANG and National Guard Bureau recommendations to increase the base’s energy security and resiliency. The study will focus on advancing a photovoltaic (PV) masterplan which outlines repair requirements for the current PV system and facilitate integration into a larger installation-wide energy resiliency plan. “Pond is proud to serve the Californian Air Guard and its important missions by leveraging the firm’s long history of providing planning, installation development, electrical distribution design, and infrastructure resiliency services to support the Air National Guard,” said Pond Senior Vice President Chris Farnie. “This energy resiliency study will enable the Raymond-Pond Joint Venture Team to evaluate the 144th Fighter Wing’s solar photovoltaic systems and make master plan recommendations for repairs and upgrades that will help the California Air National Guard with both energy security and resiliency,” said Raymond President Michael Ramos. This task order was awarded under Raymond-Pond’s ongoing Air Force “AE NEXT” indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle utilized by the National Guard Bureau. Pond and Raymond have a 25-year relationship, and through the Raymond-Pond Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture, the team has supported the National Guard with professional A-E services delivery through the AE NEXT Pool 3 General Infrastructure contract prior to this award.
