Palm Springs International Film Society strives for a world in which enlightenment, knowledge and tolerance prevail. We believe film as an art form has the power to bridge cultures and illuminate the universality of the human experience. The Palm Springs International Film Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and promote the art and science of film through education and cross-cultural awareness. The Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films and the Palm Springs International Film Festival are presented under the auspices of the Film Society and are dedicated to nurturing and encouraging new filmmaking talent, honoring the great masters of world cinema and providing audiences with a unique opportunity to engage in an appreciation of and a conversation about the art of cinema as it is represented around the world.

We’re thrilled to announce the lineup for the 36th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival! The Festival will screen 150+ films representing over 70 countries, including 68 premieres and even more festival favorites from the year. Ring in the new year with us, Palm Springs style from January 2-13, 2025! Our program lineup this year spans genres and crosses borders to bring the transportative power of cinema to the Coachella Valley. Over the past year, our Palm Springs International Film Festival team has carefully crafted a program that celebrates the art of storytelling. From intriguing documentaries and family-friendly films, hilarious rom-coms, musical biopics, and magical surprises, immerse yourself in the power of cinema. In addition to our program lineup, we can’t wait to share that our 2025 country focus is Spain! We will feature a blend of contemporary Spanish films along with a few classic selections from the region, including four cinematic masterpieces by director Pedro Almodóvar. For families, mark your calendars for the return of Family Day on Sunday, January 12, with a day packed with screenings and fun activities for all ages.
