Rainforest Partnership is an international nonprofit that protects and conserves tropical rainforests, critical assets in the climate crisis. Working directly with indigenous and local communities as guardians and economic participants, our integrated approach supports sustainable livelihoods, thriving biodiversity, and long-term forest protection. Founded in 2007, Rainforest Partnership addresses the challenge of deforestation by centering the needs and rights of those on the frontlines of rainforest protection—Indigenous peoples and local communities—to support resilient communities, preserve and regenerate ecosystems, and create long-lasting conservation impact in the Amazon and beyond.

After a wonderful reception this week, we are proud to announce that additional Films for the Forest screenings have been added at the New York Hall of Science this Saturday, September 28. Films will be played on a continuous loop from 6-10pm, during the Borough of Queens Climate Expo and Night Market. Museum entry will be free during this time! We are grateful to the #NYSCI for being an incredible partner. #fortheforest #climateweeknyc

Our TRII Index is designed to build a landscape where companies and rainforests thrive together and to support corporations in their transition to a forest-positive future. 🌿 Join us for Films for the Forest 2024 at NYSCI! 🎬🌳 We’re thrilled to announce that Films for the Forest (F3T) will be hosting its 2024 screenings at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) this September! This is an exciting opportunity to see impactful short films from around the world that shed light on the urgent need for forest conservation and climate action. Niyanta Spelman, the founder and CEO of Rainforest Partnership, will join the CSO Awards North America jury! 🌿✨ Rainforest Partnership is an international nonprofit organization that works to protect rainforests by empowering Indigenous and local communities on the front lines of deforestation. Under her leadership, the organization has safeguarded over 1 million acres of rainforest, making a significant impact on biodiversity and climate. With a background in environmental policy, Niyanta is a thought leader in global conservation efforts. 🏞️ Niyanta has received numerous honors and awards, including The Women Of Change® Award at the Family Office Impact Summit, hosted by 5th Element Group PBC in the Delegates Dining Room at the United Nations in 2019, and the Profiles in Power award from the Austin Business Journal in 2020.
