This #VeteransDay, as we honor the immense, courage, dedication and sacrifice made by our military members, we'd like to shine a light on #HicksStrong, a non-profit organization with a powerful mission- to provide a lifeline to military members who need it most by connecting them to critical #mentalhealth resources and #support. Central to their mission is the overarching message, "we do not want military members to feel alone." Inspired by this, the idea of the "hug mug" was born, a symbol of hope, love, and a warm embrace. At a recent EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) event, our teams participated in making mugs with #HicksStrong to remind those in need that they are loved, that their success and presence is important, today, tomorrow and in the future. This special event also brought to light a special and serendipitous story of the "Maine Mug," painted by our very own Tracy Perfitt. This mug travelled cross country and got into the hands of a military veteran who happens to be a relative of a Saint-Gobain employee.
