- Our Newest Case Study: Automated Part Feeding System Faced with staffing constraints and equipment limitations, our customer’s Taperlock work cell needed a major upgrade to meet their production goals. That’s where Sigma Design stepped in! By retrofitting their existing Fanuc Robodrill a-T21iF VMC and integrating advanced automation, including an Asyril Asycube Flexible Feeder, we eliminated manual part feeding and introduced automated processing for 23 different parts. The Results? - System processes full totes of parts autonomously, replacing manual part loading. - System throughput significantly increased. - Production goals achieved without adding operators. - Enhanced efficiency and reduced operational costs. Automated Part Feeding sigmadzn.com - While accredited testing is essential for validating final product designs to meet regulatory requirements, non-accredited testing is useful for assessing design functionality and identifying potential issues. Our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for Testing/Calibration Laboratories is important to industries with high-risk factors associated such as aerospace, medical and defense. This designation is significant because Sigma Design is 1 of only 2 accredited test labs in the Portland, Oregon metro area for general industry mechanical testing.
