Have you heard of :INCLUDED CPG? We are the largest collective of diverse founders and CEOs in the food and beverage industry, and the team just launched our first-ever Impact Snapshot celebrating our first 5 years as a collective! When I launched Moonshot Snacks in 2020, I faced countless challengesābuilding a climate-friendly product while navigating the complexities of supply chains, manufacturing, and retail. :INCLUDED CPG ās commitment to amplifying voices like mine and advocating for diverse representation helped me overcome barriers and connect with opportunities that truly mattered. Through its work, :INCLUDED CPG is creating the kind of community that empowers brands to scale impact and reach new heights. This recent five year milestone is a testament to the power of collaboration, and I couldnāt be more grateful to be part of this journey. Read more about the organize and its impact in the link below.https://lnkd.in/ejvRuyVF - Kudos to SKU mentor Mayur Aras for starting a fund focused on brands started underrepresented founders!

The CPG industry has a problem ā¼ļø Women-only led companies? 2% of VC funding. Black-founded companies? 1%. Latina and Black women combined? Barely over 1%. Meanwhile, all-white male founding teams secure 86% of seed stage dollars. This isn't news. Anyone who's walked a major trade show can see it. That's why I started Lucinda Capital. An angel firm that invests in underrepresented founders of consumer brands. So far, I've had the privilege to back amazing founders at: Laurel's Coffee Kif & co Bala Enzyme Peace Love Hormones Foraged & FoundBefore focusing my thesis, I also invested in: OLIPOP PBC Long Table ModicaBloody Buddy This is just the beginning. If you're a minority founder of the next game-changing consumer brand, or know who someone who is, reach out. My DMs are wide open. Let's change this industry together. www.lucindacapital.com #cpg #investing #founders #VC #startups

Sadly, like many others, I also lost my house in the devastating Los Angeles fires. Luckily, we are safe and well. If Iāve learned anything from being an entrepreneur, itās that when your plan doesnāt go as expected (and we definitely didnāt plan for this), you process and try to quickly accept the outcome, then focus on rebuilding. Praying for everyone affected. šš»#lafire
