𝟱 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗔𝗜 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 🔥 1. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗽 What excited me 👉 AI is finally becoming pragmatic, reducing implementation from 50 steps to 15 steps What scared me 👉 Those 15 steps are still complex. Don't be fooled by sexy demos 2. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 • Domain experts + AI specialists need to work side-by-side daily • Not as consultants, but as equal partners at the table • Prediction: This will be the default model in 5-10 years 3. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸: 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹'𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝘀 • Hardware cycles = 5 year minimum • Boards need patience for AI transformation • Missing one wave (like mobile for Microsoft) isn't fatal, but you must catch the next one 4. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆'𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 • Took 30 years to see true value • We haven't even seen our "microwave" or "refrigerator" moment yet • We're still in the education period 5. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸: 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗠𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 • Only one company truly profiting: NVIDIA • Second best industry? Conferences 😅 • Quality education and implementation trump noisy hype 🎯 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: AI adoption isn't about quick wins. It's about cultural transformation, process change, and long-term vision. Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments #Technology #SoTInsights - Slice of Technology reposted this

We're releasing Perplexity's official API: Sonar. The excitement around trying to make agents and vertical answer engines (legal, health, travel, academic, patents, etc) happen is pretty clear. We want to support it through Perplexity's search-grounded LLM API: the most affordable generative search API in the market right now with real-time information, factual grounding, citations, and multi-step reasoning. You can get citations and completions together. Simply just using the citations is also pretty powerful: it gives you more relevant responses because the LLMs are much superior in the final contextual ranking of the web results. The Sonar Pro API will be able to handle sophisticated queries better. And it's much better than Gemini-2.0-Flash (with search grounding). And way cheaper too. We won't be training on your data. I recently had a fascinating chat with 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗯, 𝗖𝗘𝗢 & 𝗖𝗼-𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿, about building enterprise AI platforms. 𝟯 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 worth sharing 👇 • 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁: What started as an AI writing assistant evolved into something much broader. The team recognized early opportunities in transformer models and expanded into data integration, compliance controls, and developer tools. • 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆: May shared an interesting perspective on leverage in AI - as capabilities grow, the impact compounds across organizational workflows. It's not just about individual productivity gains, but systemic improvements. • 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: While 2022 saw a rush into generative AI, Writer had been building since 2020. Their early focus on transformer models gave them time to develop deep expertise and infrastructure. Really impressed by their thoughtful approach to platform development. They've managed to stay ahead of the curve while delivering practical value. 👏#EnterpriseAI #SoTInsights
