Systems Planning and Analysis Inc. (SPA) provides timely and objective analysis and integrated technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business solutions in support of important national security objectives. We expand our capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our Nation and will always adhere to our core values of quality, integrity and honesty as we promote an environment of innovation and collaboration. Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., was founded in 1972 with three employees working primarily with the U.S. Navy, leading major technical support programs for the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). The result of this work has led to numerous major decisions involving the Trident Weapons Systems. Over the past four decades, the needs of our clients have evolved, and so has SPA. SPA has expanded its customer base and experience to cover a wide range of missions and clients in the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Energy. SPA has been recognized with awards including Government Contractor of the Year ($75M-$300M category) by the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards, as a Best Places to Work by the Washington and San Diego Business Journals for several years, a Top Workplace by the Washington Post, and as one of DC's Healthiest Employers.

SPA's Space and Intel Division provides a wide range of capabilities. Recently, the Division's Strategic Technology and Analysis Group (STAG) employees collaborated with US Space Force Delta 6 and 22 Space Ops Squadron (SOPS) to develop and initiate a plan that enables collaboration between HQ staff, Delta 6, and 22 SOPS personnel to refactor an on-premise combat support application. STAG's efforts dramatically streamline 22 SOPS operations by integrating stove piped workflows associated with legacy systems and data residing on multiple standalone IT systems. SPA's Space and Intel Division is a trusted partner in developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging high priority needs, assessing cutting-edge technologies, and supporting capabilities for our national defense. SPA employees recently attended the 12th Submarine Institute of Australia's Biennial Conference in Canberra, Australia. With this year's theme being "Australian Submarines - Cornerstone of Deterrence," the conference featured remarks from U.S. Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy, the Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles, the High Commissioner for the UK in Australia Victoria Treadell, and other Navy leadership from across Australia, the UK, and the United States. On day two of the three-day event, SPA Military Operations Analyst Mason Rabalais presented a session on SPA independent analysis, painting a vision of SPA's ongoing support. The conference provided an overall look at Australia's submarine force and its evolution for the future, allowing SPA employees to gain key insight into how submarine programs are perceived by Australian stakeholders. During the trip, a handful of the team had the opportunity to take in some sights in Australia's capital, including observing a session of Australia's House of Representatives #spaaustralia #canberra

Yesterday, SPA's Marine Corps veterans and other SPA employees at HQ in Alexandria, VA, celebrated the 249th birthday of the Marine Corps with honored guest Lieutenant General James H. Adams, Deputy Commandant for Programs and Resources, for the second year in a row. The celebration included a reading of the 13th Commandant’s Birthday Message, Guest of Honor Remarks, and the sharing of traditional USMC cake and punch. SPA's youngest Marine present, Deklan Hoff, participated in the ceremony with SPA's oldest Marine present, Noel Williams. In addition, SPA employees in our Chantilly, VA, office celebrated the USMC Birthday along with employees from other companies in the building. SPA Vice President and Deputy Division Director Pamela Lincoln narrated the event. No matter the location, Marines across the globe look forward to celebrating this sacred annual tradition. SPA’s Veracity Forecasting Group supports a wide range of interesting task orders, including analysis for NAVAIR PMA-226, the Adversary Aircraft Office. For this client, VFG performs availability planning for older Air Force F-16s, which the Navy uses for adversary aircraft training at NAS Fallon, NV, before an airwing deploys to sea. Adversary training is a critical component of preparing fighter pilots' operational capabilities. In this case, VFG's unique Inventory Decision Support Process provides authoritative analyses on issues such as structural repair, service-life extension planning, and airframe modification planning.
