Uplifting voices and raising up the next generation. In my eyes, these are two pillars of what we’ve accomplished in the last year. It’s been an honor to serve on the National Advisory Board representing the Seattle chapter for the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA). I’m looking forward to continue serving the greater Seattle chapter in the next biennium and being a part of hosting our National convention in our backyard in SEATTLE!

"The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled." - Plutarch 🔥Fires were kindled this week as morning producers from KING 5 Media Group, KGW-TV, KTVB News Group, & KREM 2 Media Group met for our 4th ⛰️#PNW #TeamTEGNA training session, this time in Spokane, WA. We collaborated on how to carry audience (on streaming & linear) with urgency and pacing, learned how to reset Circadian rhythms from a sleep expert, and dove into conflict resolution by understanding communication styles. We all return to work Monday… a little bit on fire.🔥🔥 Special thanks to our General Managers who are committed to keeping that fire going for #jouranlism: Christy Moreno, RJ Merritt, Jessica Hagan, MBA, & Greg Retsinas.
