Chef Daniel Diaz, Culinary Director at The Ben, Autograph Collection Hotel Hailing from the sunshine state of Florida, Chef Diaz brings with him a rich background deeply rooted in culinary excellence. Born and raised amidst the vibrant flavors of Miami and Palm Beach Counties, Chef Diaz's culinary journey began early, as he cultivated his passion alongside his Cuban-American parents, tending to their family vegetable garden and savoring meals around the dinner table. With classical training from the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Chef Daniel honed his craft while working at a AAA 5-Star Diamond Caribbean restaurant, Ortanique on The Mile!, while balancing his studies with hands-on experience in fine dining. His culinary adventures led him to join the world-renowned Dinex Group by Daniel Boulud, followed by prestigious roles in Asian, American, and Modern Italian cuisines, where he served under seasoned Michelin-starred and James Beard winning chefs from New York City, Miami, and beyond. In February of 2024, Chef Diaz joined the executive team of The Ben Hotel as the Director of Culinary, overseeing all aspects of the Culinary program.
