- Building with wood helps keep forests on the landscape and drives investment in forest health and sustainability. Our forests are carefully managed to ensure a reliable and renewable supply of wood. As we meet society’s demand for wood, we also prioritize long-term sustainable harvest levels, prompt reforestation after harvesting, forest health and soil health, and the conservation of species habitat. Sustainable forest management is widely practiced by the U.S. forest sector. As a result, our country has enjoyed stable forest cover for much of the last century, ensuring a renewable and abundant natural resource for future generations. #AmericanForestProducts #ModernForestry #sustainableforestry
- TIR’s investment strategy extends beyond traditional forestry management to leverage other sustainable investment opportunities. Establishing solar energy infrastructure and environmental mitigation banks on our clients’ lands is a key focus. In our latest Sustainability Report, we show how these initiatives not only diversify revenue streams for investors through fee generation and the sale of mitigation credits, but they also yield significant benefits for the communities hosting these projects.#solar #SustainableForestry
- Sustainable forestry is vital for the economic resilience, environmental stewardship, and social well-being of our rural communities. The TIR Rural Impact Strategy leverages forest investment to create jobs, sustain local industries, and generate community revenue. By targeting economically disadvantaged rural areas, TIR connects these communities to better economic outcomes from their natural resources, breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering long-term forest health. TIR intends to make a lasting impact on rural America. Read more in our Sustainability Report. #SustainableForestry #RuralDevelopment #EconomicGrowth
- The U.S. has some of the most abundant and productive forest resources in the world, due in large part to sustainable forestry practices. One vital practice is the protection of water resources. Sustainable forest management protects water quality and supply, which contributes to thriving ecosystems and a healthier planet. #sustainableforesty #ModernForestry
- Sustainable forestry harnesses the power of forests to sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It also enhances carbon storage capacity by keeping forests healthy. At TIR, we are actively involved in multiple carbon sequestration projects impacting over 45,000 acres of land through carbon sequestration and storage. In our latest Sustainability Report we look at our strategy to date and ambitions going forward. #sustainableforestry #carbonsolutions
