Waiting is over: Venkat Rangan presenting tinyvision SoM powered by Lattice CrosslinkU-NX33. Expierence the difference at VISION (8E10) - Embedded World '24: Demos based on the Lattice CrosslinkU-NX33 FPGA with a USB3 core. Lattice Semiconductor invited tinyVision.ai to present their demos based on the CrosslinkU-NX FPGA family. We presented the following 3 compelling demos at the conference. 1. High bandwidth demo: The FPGA can be used as a fat pipe for applications such as Software Defined Radios, test equipment such as logic analyzers. A 2 Gbps application layer throughput was achieved at this early stage of the project. We expect to see about 3.4Gbps once everything is optimized. 2. UVC: An often requested use case is the ability to connect multiple cameras, do some basic ISP and ship this out as a USB stream. This demo was done in collaboration with the talented team at https://emcraft.com/. The FPGA enumerates as a UVC device and streams video. 3. QR code detection and decoding: Using a simple neural network, we demonstrate QR code detection on the FPGA. This demo was in collaboration with our partner, https://streamlogic.io/, a drag-drop tool designed to accelerate RTL development. - pico-ice on the Elecrow 2023 best seller list! The pico-ice, an open source OSHW certified device, was among last years best sellers at our partner, Elecrow. The pico-ice is a small, low cost board with the Raspberry Pi Pico processor (RP2040) and a Lattice Semiconductor iCE40UP5K FPGA. The board features independent flash for the FPGA and RP2040, low power SSRAM, a couple of pushbuttons and a 3 color LED with all FPGA and RP2040 pins brought out to easy to use 0.1" header pins (arranged as PMOD's) for fast prototyping. This is a very flexible platform for learning about FPGA's as well as to incorporate into your own projects and engineering courses to teach about embedded systems, hardware design, RTOS, IoT etc.https://lnkd.in/g36sWMfpGrateful to Elecrow for the promotion and the community of developers that supports open source projects like this one to be self-sustaining for small businesses.#latticesemiconductor #elecrow #raspberrypi
