Even the smallest fans can set an example and make the biggest difference in the lives of others. Watch this heartwarming story about how Safelite's NASCAR truck driver, Corey Heim, touched the life of a fan — and how the interaction inspired Corey, too.
Corey Heim’s biggest fan, Mikey, has an incredible story. ❤️ After this 5-year-old cancer survivor transformed his walker into the No. 11 truck for Halloween, Corey Heim and the crew knew they had to make him part of the team. We’re rooting for you, Mikey! - The 39th Annual Chili Bowl is here! Toyota will field 71 entries this year, including five drivers from the Toyota Driver Development (TD2) program. The 2025 Chili Bowl takes place January 13-18 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with racing action beginning on Monday, January 13. Full schedule: https://lnkd.in/e-fnwnHQ #TeamToyota

What a thrill for our technicians to have recently replaced a windshield on NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s sporty Toyota Tacoma! He’s no stranger to speed on the track, but spoiler alert: as a new dad, Bubba reveals how driving took on a whole new meaning. Thank you to our team in North Carolina for a job well done and to Bubba for trusting us to help get him and his family safely back on the road and on with their day. Toyota Racing Development USA - 2024 is in the books! A big thank you to all our partners, teams, and supporters throughout the year. Wishing everyone a happy holiday season and here’s to another great year ahead

Last week our team at TRD had the privilege of partnering with the Jessie Rees Foundation (NEGU - Never Ever Give Up) to host a mobile Joy Factory at our Costa Mesa office. Throughout the day, our TRD employees volunteered their time to assemble “Joy Jars” - thoughtful packages filled with love and encouragement for kids bravely fighting cancer. This experience reminded us of the power of kindness and the impact we can have when we work together. A huge thank you to TeamNEGU: Never Ever Give Up! for letting us be a part of their mission. Let’s keep spreading joy, and never ever give up! We encourage you to learn more about the Jessie Rees Foundation and the life changing work they do. 💙 WebsiteNegu.orgJessie’s Storyhttps://lnkd.in/gcHxxEjT #TeamToyota #TeamNEGU #VolunteerDay- +2

- Meet Johnnie Floyd, Lead Senior Technician, Vehicle Design at Toyota Racing Development (TRD). Johnnie has enjoyed nearly 30 years in motorsports, the last 16 being with TRD, where he’s found some of the most rewarding experiences of his career - from being a part of the first fully active driving simulator in NASCAR to assisting in the Toyota body submissions for NASCAR. The most impactful project for him personally has been working with the U.S. Paralympic athletes. He proudly joined Oksana Masters to develop equipment for her recumbent bike which helped her win gold in the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Johnnie has worked his way up the ranks of many NASCAR championship teams, and in 2008 made the jump from working with race teams to developing original equipment manufacturing (OEM). Today he leads a small group of technicians at TRD’s Salisbury facility, working closely with the design group to develop and implement components and solutions for various performance enhancement projects. When Johnnie’s not at work for TRD he can be found working on a small 15-acre horse farm with his wife and daughter. Most weekends they travel around the East Coast, horses in tow, to cheer on his daughter as she competes in the Hutter Jumper Series. #TeamToyota #EmployeeSpotlight #JohnnieFloyd
