About us

Founded in 2001, it is TPH’s core purpose to lead the world in the holistic development of student-athletes, advancing - in and beyond the game - the next generation of impact players. With platforms that include association management, elite prospects programs, tournaments and showcases, camps and clinics, and its hallmark Center of Excellence (CoE) academy model for student-athletes, TPH services over 10,000 student-athletes on an annual basis, throughout 16 U.S.-based divisions. TPH prides itself on taking a holistic approach, one that emphasizes the development of the individual in four ways: (1) as a player within a team setting, (2) as an athlete, dedicated to reaching his/her physical potential, (3) as a student, working to achieve his/her academic goals, and most importantly, (4) as a person, striving to win the ultimate game, and that’s the game of life.

When it comes to developing the next generation of elite National Hockey League players, there’s no one quite like Brandon Naurato - who has led the Michigan Wolverines to back-to-back Frozen Four Appearances and a Big 10 Championship since earning the head coach position. Earlier this year, Brandon spoke with The Hockey News about his business-based coaching philosophy that is leading the Wolverines into a new era of college sports and how his time with TPH Academy Detroit and TPH Academy as a partner has helped him bring Michigan hockey to the top. Coach Nar led TPH in opening the first Academy in Canton, MI, where several NHL Draft picks, USNTDP, OHL, USHL, NAHL, and future college players attended. Huge believer that everything in life happens for a reason. I have known our COO Francis Anzalone for almost 2 decades now, of course first meeting was in a rink, probably over some bad coffee, FA was a scout, assistant coach and eventually a head coach in junior hockey. He was always first to the rink and last to leave, while others hung out socializing or half paying attention to a game, FA had his day preplanned, was focused on who he was there to see and it was obvious that he had an incredible and relentless work ethic. We have been so fortunate to have him on our team at TPH for the last 7, coming up on 8 years now. We have quadrupled in size and scale during that time under his leadership. He is our “TSN Turning Point”, has always treated and worked as though TPH is his own and I am forever grateful for his daily impact and grind that he gives to make us better, which ultimately positively impacts our TPH Team Members, our student-athletes and their families. His commitment to getting better everyday day has a cascading effect. No one tells our story better and one consistent quality that high end C-suite executives have is that ability to clearly share and articulate their company’s story. To connect that story with that specific audience, a very rare trait. Today is Coach FA’s birthday and I wanted to wish him a happy birthday (called him this morning) and let him know that TPH Academy would not be where we are today and our impact as widespread as it is in the 🇺🇸 and 🇨🇦 without his passion, commitment and extreme ownership of getting “1% better each day”. Thank you FA!

Matt spoke with our student-athletes about discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
