The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released its 2024 Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings, which assess quality of care, patient safety, and patient experience. Several of our hospitals received exceptional scores. 🌟 Congratulations to St. Vincent's Chilton and St. Vincent's St. Clair for earning five stars ratings for patient experience. And congratulations to St. Vincent’s Birmingham, who received a four star rating overall, which is how well a hospital performs across different areas of quality, such as treating heart attacks and pneumonia, readmission rates, and safety of care. A four star overall rating is awarded to the top 25% of all hospitals in the U.S.
