We collaborated with a larger staffing company, successfully placing a candidate for an 18-month contract. Their contract initially stated we would receive only 12 months of payment regardless of duration. However, they mentioned this could be adjusted based on client positions and internal discussions. We had a clear conversation with the concerned authority, who assured us we'd receive payment for the full 18 months. Yet, after 12 months, they denied further payment, significantly impacting our operations. This situation underscores several key issues: Lack of clarity and follow-through in verbal agreements The power imbalance between small and large staffing firms Financial challenges for smaller agencies operating on tight margins As a bootstrapped company, every dollar counts. Such practices make it increasingly difficult for new entrants to thrive and innovate in the staffing space.
