We were honored to join AT&T at its New Hire Volunteer Social to lead an engaging activity that brought together 100 employees eager to give back to the community. Four thousand Kits were filled with essential books, engaging learning materials and resources designed to spark a love of reading. They’ll be distributed to families at our annual Jungle Bells experience at the Dallas Zoo. Reading skills lay the groundwork for success, equipping students with the tools needed to excel in school and in life. North Texas youth are the future of our community, and no one embraces this more than our friends at Texas Instruments. But don’t just take our word for it, read the pile of thank-yous given to TIers by Richardson ISD Stults Road Elementary students. ✍️ “TI is the best.” 🏫 “We are so grateful that you guys are helping our school.” The handwritten notes came after an engaging day of impact led by TI President and CEO Haviv IIan, along with Andy Smith, director of giving and volunteering and executive director of the TI Foundation. Teams inspired students to dream big and create visions for their futures. We met budding engineers, doctors, chefs and travelers who are sure to elevate our community to new heights. 🎉 We had a blast at Trivia Night hosted by EY’s dynamic young leadership team! This competitive, fun-filled gathering was a true showcase of the energy and talent that this steadfast group brings to the table. One in eight people in our community face hunger; and it’ll take all of us to eradicate this disparity. Last week we joined forces with 100 volunteers and partnered with our friends at North Texas Food Bank to pack and box nutritious meals, ensuring families can experience the joy of this holiday season with full hearts and full tables. Good health is the foundation on which North Texans of every age can thrive. It has the power to dictate how well a child can learn to how much an adult will earn. For decades, Tenaska has been a passionate supporter of the Live United movement, actively leading United Way employee giving campaigns to increase access to education, income and health in North Texas. This year, under the leadership of Kevin Smith, President, Tenaska Power Services Co., the Tenaska team showcased their generosity like never before, culminating their most impactful giving campaign yet. As we kicked off celebrations for our milestone Centennial year, we also laced up our boots and hit the pavement for PepsiCo Foods North America’s 15th annual Day of Caring. An event that’s both a tradition and a powerhouse of positive change in our community. Seeing over 1,200 Frito-Lay & Quaker team members join forces with more than 30 community impact partners was nothing short of inspiring. Together, we: 🥒 Packed nutritious meals to support our southern Dallas neighbors 🌺 Beautified neighborhood facilities to match the spark of our vibrant communities 🎃 Helped host a fall festival that brought endless smiles to local youth We can always count on our friends at PepsiCo to lead with their hearts and hands. A huge thanks to the entire PepsiCo team, and CEO, and UWMD Centennial Campaign Chair Steven Williams, for kicking off our 100th year of service to North Texas with such heart and dedication. We are forever grateful for your commitment to reinforcing the importance of collective efforts to improve access to education, income, and health right here in North Texas.
