This Veterans Day is especially meaningful for Valens Global. In our 10th year as a small business, we became an officially recognized Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. This milestone reflects not only our growth but our dedication to those who have served. Since hiring our first veteran in 2020, we’ve quickly grown to where over 25% of our Valens employees, and 75% of our subcontractors, are veterans. The Irregular Warfare Center (IWC) presented at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy’s Session 292’s Round Robins Day. Over two sessions, IWC Senior Analyst Varsha Koduvayur, Valens Global contractor, presented on law enforcement’s role in building resiliency against hybrid threats, IWC Director of Operations Erik Herr presented on the role of the IWC, and IWC Analyst Gabrielle Kennedy, Valens Global contractor, introduced the role of Functional Area Networks (FANs). IWC’s representatives presented to 95 individuals across two sessions which included a diverse range of participants drawn from local, state, and federal law enforcement. This session of the National Academy also drew participants from around the globe, including Burkina Faso, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Panama, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and Ukraine.
