Happy National Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Week! Wentworth-Douglass Hospital thanks the APPs we work with every day at Mass General Brigham, including physician assistants (PAs), nurse practitioners (NPs), advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), certified nurse midwives (CNMs) and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs). These highly trained clinicians provide care for patients of all ages, expand patient access to a variety of specialties, improve our efficiency and drive innovation. We asked Jessica Bacon, certified nurse midwife, what she enjoys most about her role: "As the lead, I have appreciated the ability to grow as a leader while maintaining my clinical skills. I get to work with the APPs to help them achieve their professional goals, and I get to form relationships with patients, helping them achieve their own health and family planning goals. It's National Surgical Technologists Week!
