Vision Statement: Williamson County is known for its role in providing a superior quality of life for its citizens. The cohesive county government, committed to effective governance, operates as a team to guarantee continual high quality services to its citizens. The citizens of Williamson County trust their elected officials and participate fully in the governance of the County. The rich heritage and values of the County are the basis of the strong sense of community in which makes Williamson the most desirable county in which to live in the State of Texas. The county staff and leadership are highly professional and committed to maintaining an integrated sustainable community. There are sufficient physical and human resources to provide the services that the citizens need. There is maximum effort to determine citizen needs and respond to those needs appropriately, while expending the least amount of public funds in a conservative, responsible and efficient manner.

- Williamson County's Office of Emergency Management brought together multiple county departments today to conduct an emergency response tabletop exercise. 🚨 The scenario was responding to a severe winter weather event lasting multiple days. ❄️In the event of an emergency, WilCo departments are ready to respond! 👍
- January 9, 2025, was "Yongin City Day" in Williamson County! A special delegation from our sister city in South Korea visited WilCo to meet with local leaders and enjoy our Texas hospitality! The sister city agreement was established to build a relationship for stronger, friendly cooperation and mutual prosperity between the two communities.

- 👏Congratulations to our Department of Infrastructure’s 2024 Biggest Losers! 🏆 Three biggest losers from WilCo Road & Bridge have been named after a year-long friendly competition to see who can lose the highest percentage of weight. Senior Director of Infrastructure Bob Daigh presented Mary Blank (1st Place) 🥇, Carlos Arellano (2nd Place) 🥈and Michael Vaughan (3rd Place) 🥉 with awards for this year’s Biggest Loser Competition. This year’s winner lost more than 27% with second place losing over 5 % and third place losing more than 3%. A round of applause to all 22 participants for taking steps toward a healthier 2025!
- Congratulations to Julie Kiley, who was re-appointed by the Williamson County District Judges to a second two-year term of service as county auditor! Kiley has served the WilCo Auditor’s Office for 30 years. Before her appointment as county auditor, she served as first assistant county auditor for 18 years. The county auditor is an appointed official with wide-ranging responsibilities that focus on serving as an independent check on the financial operations of the county.
