🌎📚 On Thursday, Nov. 7, the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville hosted the International Crisis Management Exercise (ICME) at the University of North Florida. During this immersive experience, students in the Council's Great Decisions program stepped into the shoes of National Security Council members, strategizing and collaborating to provide critical recommendations for an acting president on the crisis scenario of "Cyber Clash with China." This unique role-play exercise encouraged students to develop teamwork skills, broaden perspectives, and analyze global issues from multiple angles. Reflecting on the experience, one student shared, "I enjoyed considering a hypothetical event that was so realistic that it could have actually happened. This forced me to deeply consider every decision." A heartfelt thank you to our students and teachers who prepared for and participated in the exercise. An extra special thank you to our "Presidents" Lieutenant General Guy C. Swan III, USA (Ret) and Vice Admiral Mary Jackson, USN (Ret.) and our “troublemakers” Dr. David Schwam-Baird and Charles Renz. Their creative thinking and leadership made this a memorable learning experience for all!- +4
