"Consumers are likely going to rely more and more heavily on reviews and not product details that are emphasized by the brands themselves. They will trust what other people have to say over fluff from brands," Artacho told the E-Commerce Times.
Brand trust and sentiment will likely be driving factors for consumer decision making in 2021, he added.

"As Peloton currently has capacity challenges to serve a huge increase in demand, the deal helps Peloton add a large footprint to be able to serve consumers who will continue to exercise from home, as the restrictions and stay-at-home orders continue."
As one of the largest global commercial fitness equipment companies, Precor equipment is used everywhere from university gyms to apartment complexes. According to Artacho, purchasing Precor will give Peloton a leg up in moving into commercial spaces in order "to become the main brand at gyms, hotels, and workouts anywhere."
Though Artacho anticipates consumers will continue to gravitate toward at-home fitness in the near future, he said teaming with Precor serves as a proactive strategy to get Peloton products into commercial spaces that Americans will return to when the pandemic eventually ends
"[The pandemic] is definitely not the end of the concept of group gym and Peloton's deal is an anticipation to prepare the company for their next growth cycle: beyond home, anywhere," Artacho said. "People are working out at home given there are no alternatives. It's expected some kind of home gym will stay, but not as it is right now. With that, it's expected the pandemic will elevate the standard of gyms, with potentially a surge in boutique and niche concepts."
