I was Colin’s supervisor as an Air War College Seminar Director from July 2015 through his graduation in May 2016. During that time, in addition to the demanding workload placed on Air War College students, Colin also served as the seminar’s Student Leader. In this capacity, Colin was responsible for peer-leadership of 15 of the best officers and civilians in the Department of Defense, three coalition air forces, and the Inter-Agency. From administrative suspenses to dealing with family emergencies, Colin’s steady leadership galvanized the students into an effective team better than any Student Leader I saw in three years at the Air War College.
