A record on a blockchain cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all preceding blocks and the consensus of the network. Blockchain is often associated with cryptocurrency, but it is being looked at more and more as a solution to food-supply problems.

The curriculum divides the demand side along class, race, gender, and geographic lines. Students have an opportunity to evaluate emerging and dominant trends in food purchasing and consumption, including increasing demand for organic, locally sourced, and slow food commodities. Offers students an opportunity to evaluate the commercial introduction of exotic and imported foods. Outlines critical cost drivers, including petroleum for fertilizers and transportation, and traces the shift in demand among different communities as prices rise. Concludes with an exploration of the social and cultural factors that shape a consumer's perception of a good value for their money.
Students complete writing on message analysis, incident summary, case study, and formal essay on professional issues

The slogan 'We can fight bac!' — meaning bacteria — is emblazoned on the vehicle's side, along with animated pictures of smiling refrigerators, soaps, cutting boards and thermometers. The decals are a playful way to catch the public's attention and prevent the tragedy that can come from not preparing or handling food properly.
