- Raphael Tisch, PMP Have you used DOE's WindExchange website before? https://lnkd.in/eUARRgWz. It provides accessible resources for local decision makers, communities, and individuals to understand the benefits and impacts of wind energy markets, technology, and development. WINDExchange empowers U.S. communities to understand and participate in wind energy siting, permitting, and installation processes. Help us improve the WINDExchange website by filling out a roughly 10-minute, voluntary, anonymous survey by Monday, April 29, 2024: https://lnkd.in/ekFEbDhP.
- Jennifer Garson Huge announcement for funding for advancing clean energy technologies and decarbonization! Today, the U.S. Department of Treasury and U.S. Department of Energy released critical guidance on the next round of the 48C tax credit allocation program to the tune of 6billion.Therearethreemainareasthatareallowedunderthisroundof48C:⚡CleanEnergyManufacturingandRecyclingProjects−includesprojectsthatre−equip,expand,orestablishindustrialormanufacturingfacilitiesfortheproductionorrecyclingofspecifiedadvancedenergyproperties;🏭IndustrialDecarbonizationProjects−includesprojectsthatre−equiporretrofitindustrialormanufacturingfacilities,includingenergy−intensivemanufacturingsectors,suchascement,ironandsteel,aluminum,chemicals,andothersectors,withequipmentdesignedtoreducegreenhousegasemissionsbyatleast206 billion. There are three main areas that are allowed under this round of 48C: ⚡ Clean Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Projects - includes projects that re-equip, expand, or establish industrial or manufacturing facilities for the production or recycling of specified advanced energy properties; 🏭 Industrial Decarbonization Projects - includes projects that re-equip or retrofit industrial or manufacturing facilities, including energy-intensive manufacturing sectors, such as cement, iron and steel, aluminum, chemicals, and other sectors, with equipment designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20%; and 🔋 Critical Material Projects - includes the re-equipment, expansion, or establishment of an industrial facility for the processing, refining, or recycling of critical materials. This is an incredibly unique program that allows for both tax credits directly for manufacturers to expand their facilities and invest in solutions to decarbonize industrial facilities. While the Round 1 application process was extremely competitive, Boundary Stone worked with partners across the cleantech and climate landscape to help navigate applying to and successfully receiving funds through 48C. Just some stats on how having BSP support your application: ➡ BSP clients were 6X more likely to be selected. ➡ BSP clients represent 6billion.Therearethreemainareasthatareallowedunderthisroundof48C:⚡CleanEnergyManufacturingandRecyclingProjects−includesprojectsthatre−equip,expand,orestablishindustrialormanufacturingfacilitiesfortheproductionorrecyclingofspecifiedadvancedenergyproperties;🏭IndustrialDecarbonizationProjects−includesprojectsthatre−equiporretrofitindustrialormanufacturingfacilities,includingenergy−intensivemanufacturingsectors,suchascement,ironandsteel,aluminum,chemicals,andothersectors,withequipmentdesignedtoreducegreenhousegasemissionsbyatleast20370 million - or nearly 10% - of total allocations. ➡ BSP supported successful applications across all three topic areas, spanning from first-of-a-kind manufacturing facilities to retrofit projects at existing industrial facilities.
