In dynamic markets, velocity is a competitive advantage. Today, an organization's Velocity Quotient (VQ) is as important as its intelligence quotient (IQ). It's not enough to assemble the smartest people; to succeed, teams must learn, respond and deliver strategic outcomes faster than traditional competitors and new disruptive players.

The original and seminal book on OKRs by Christina Wodtke. In the first half of the book, Wodtke tells the story of a start up that can't get out of its own way as it burns through its cash and where OKRs provide much-needed focus. In the second half of the book, Wodtke includes *how* to implement OKRs and Paknad contributes a chapter on how to apply them in larger enterprises.
Wodtke pulls from her experience with Silicon Valley's hottest companies to teach practical insights on goal setting in fable form. How do you inspire a diverse team to work together, going all out in pursuit of a single, challenging goal? How do you stay motivated despite setbacks and failures? As you see through Hanna and Jack's story, it's about creating a framework for regular check-ins, key results, and most of all, the beauty of a good fail. Paknad pulls from her experience as startup founder and executive at large enterprises like IBM.
