Served as the national representative for a panel discussing the importance of Diversity, equity and access in STEM in Washington D.C. The panel focused around what the current landscape is for STEM education. We discussed this in all day track setting, focusing on four major area of STEM. We discussed how schools, universities, corporations, as well as the Department of Education can and must work together to create a greater access for Americans into stem education. We analyzed national trends, higher education data, and diversity of corporation data, all with the intent of mobilizing efforts to create a better pipeline for students across this country to compete in an ever-changing global market.

Served as a keynote and panelist for the 2014 AMGEN on the HILL Day, a one-day event where AMGEN selects four previous fellows to send to Washington D. C. The event focuses on having us meet with various senators and house of representative members to discuss AmeriCorps, SEED funding, and funding specifically for STEM education. In the afternoon, I participated on a panel hosting Obama's consultant for STEM Education, the Director of Education for NASA, and the leader for the National Community Service Organization, as well as myself serving as the national teacher representative. I focused the attention of the panel to the importance of STEM education, particularly access to STEM internships specifically in low-income rural areas.

Served as the national teacher representative for a panel discussing the importance of Diversity in STEM. The panel focused on Obama's 100k in 10 initiative, as well as the importance of professional mentoring programs for woman and people of color. The current statistics indicate that only 1 to 2% of employees from major technology companies, such as Google and yahoo, are minorities and an overwhelming majority of woman in STEM leave the field within 10 years.

A national marketing campaign that followed my students and I through out the entire 2013-14 school year. They recorded my lessons various times throughout the year. My students and I participated in multiple photo shoots for the marketing team. I served as the key panelist for TFA's inaugural town hall, which spanned a period of a week nationally allowing any interested individuals to ask questions about Teach For America.
