• Implemented Collatz Conjecture using process fork concept for Unix operating system
• Implemented a Critical Section problem solution for two processes using pthread mutex trylock and semaphore while comparing the run time for both the approaches.
• Implemented a solution to n reader 1 writer problem using semaphore and threads in Unix operating system.
• Set up a client and server communication to transmit messages between multiple clients effectively using thread programing.

• I worked as a team member in this project where my job was to use Weka to apply CNN for text classification
• I made knowledge flow diagrams to help me create model for it and develop ROC curves to determine accuracy levels of the project
• My application of CNN was better compared to Random Forest classifier, SVM, and Naïve Bayes with 88% accuracy

I worked as an assistant. This project involved creating of alerts specified by the IT department for breach of confidentiality or other HIPAA violations. The current system used was fairwarning. The developed method for alerts was done in splunk which saw false positive rate drop along with the system resources being used also down.

Portable devices have been widely used in people’s daily life nowadays. Among the design issues, energy consumption is the most important one. Dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) is one of the techniques which can be used to extend battery durability in portable devices by dynamically scaling the frequency and voltage of the processors according to the computing complexity of the running applications. Since multimedia applications, which are typically associated with higher computing complexity and thus consume more power, are getting more and more popular in the portable devices, conserving the battery energy becomes an important issue. However, these approaches focus on single codec and require knowledge of video decoding. Instead, this paper proposes a table-based DVFS mechanism, called Frame Table-based DVFS (FT-DVFS), for frame decoding which adapts to various types of video players.
