The primary goal of the FIAB is to serve as a forum for the Department on a range of qualified views and perspectives on emerging issues related to financial technologies, innovation, and policy considerations. The Board will help the Department understand the impact of emerging financial services, business models, products and technologies, provide advice on how best to meet the Department’s supervisory and enforcement responsibilities, and advise the Superintendent on strategies to implement guidance, rules and regulations, among others, to support the Department’s mission.
