The new Future Lab “Circular Economy” has started! This Future Lab will research innovative digital solutions for the sustainable and efficient use of natural resources. Therefore, it will receive 3.7 million euros from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and the Volkswagen Foundation. The funding is provided by the "zukunft.niedersachsen" science program for a period of five years. We are excited to be part of a great team with the following partners: Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Fraunhofer IST, Leibniz Universität Hannover, OFFIS - Institute for Information Technology, Ostfalia - University of Applied Sciences, Technische Universität Clausthal, Technische Universität Braunschweig, and partners from industry. Against the background of an increasing global demand for raw materials and the finite nature of natural resources, industrial production must find innovative solutions for using materials. The new Future Lab aims to drive the resource-efficient transformation of the economy and society through circular, digital, and AI-based products and services.
