Today we shed light on another BAG-INTEL project partner - INSA Rouen Normandie, French “Grande Ecole,” which is a part of the Groupe INSA network of engineering schools. With strong links to the industry, its primary mission is to provide national and international excellence in engineering education, scientific research, industrial development, and training. Its Laboratory of Mechanics of Normandy (Laboratoire de Mécanique de Normandie - LMN) with sites in Rouen and Le Havre, contributes to BAG INTEL's #risk #analysis activities, which will support #customs #inspection #decisionmaking. The mainstream research in the LMN concerns uncertainties, namely risk analysis and modelling, reliability, studies on variabilities and errors, and modelling the uncertainty. The activities of the LMN are based on a continuous flow coming from data collection, data analysis for hierarchization and selection of the most significant aspect, modelling under uncertainty, and optimization under uncertainty and reliability. The LMN has competencies in experimental aspects, data analysis, deterministic and stochastic modelling, numerical analysis, metamodels, optimization, and reliability paired with strong connections with the industry.
