Sophie Flak’s Post
Last week, I had the pleasure of joining Bpifrance Le Hub’s panel alongside Xavier Lorphelin (Serena), Gaëtan Bonhomme, PhD, and Caroline Lebel (Bpifrance) to share insights on integrating impactful climate strategies in Venture and Growth portfolios. At Eurazeo, with €7 billion in AUM in Venture and Growth, we believe sustainability should be a core consideration for any business, whether it’s a new venture or a well-established company. When the company is more than a blueprint, we are convinced that it’s crucial to adopt a data-driven and scientific approach. Measurement ensures that sustainability efforts are impactful, grounded in reality, and capable of delivering transparent progress. Even for emerging startups, there are always actions to be taken to reduce their carbon footprint, particularly by focusing on data center solutions. We are even more ambitious, going beyond a carbon-centric perspective, by broadening our focus to the entire planetary boundaries system. This holistic approach allows us to address the interconnected challenges of sustainability and create truly transformative solutions. The evolving CSRD standards will further shape what best practices look like, driving accountability and transparency. A big thank you to Bpifrance Hub for bringing us together to discuss on these critical issues and all the awareness-raising work they do. Sustainability is more than a necessity. It’s the new competitive advantage.#Sustainability #ImpactInvesting #Venture #Growth
