Assemble sets aside time to share and develop our industry knowledge, use of tools and resources, and best work practices. This is done through weekly sessions that start off with a roundtable sharing. Last Thursday was no different. But an external speaker spontaneously mentioned at the end of our session: "By the way- that quick roundtable sharing where you all talk about tips and news is really awesome. I'm gonna try and get my company to start doing that!" We do some things so routinely that we sometimes forget about its impact. Having someone else observe us from the fringes and make a note of our actions served as a reminder for us to keep up with the little habits that make a big difference. I think, for all of us, that Thursday felt quite different. 😊#goodhabits #companyculture #assemblelimited

Today, I want to talk about CRAB MENTALITY, a concept I believe many can relate to, and one that others, particularly those who are new to corporate world, need to understand deeply. Crab mentality, often visualized through the "crabs in a bucket" metaphor, describes how individuals within a group can pull down anyone who achieves success or shows potential, much like crabs preventing each other from escaping a bucket. This mentality is insidious and destructive, fostering an environment where jealousy and competition overshadow collaboration and mutual support. In the corporate world , where the journey is already fraught with challenges and uncertainties, the presence of crab mentality can be particularly damaging. It stifles innovation, erodes trust, and diminishes morale. Instead of celebrating each other's victories, we find ourselves trapped in a cycle of envy and sabotage, which ultimately harms everyone involved. But there is hope and a way forward. By cultivating a culture of abundance, where one person's success is seen as a collective triumph, we can overcome the pitfalls of crab mentality. This shift requires intentional effort and a commitment to fostering an environment where collaboration and support are paramount. Recognizing and celebrating achievements, encouraging teamwork, providing growth opportunities, modeling positive behavior, and maintaining open communication are key steps in this transformation. When we lift each other up, we not only enhance individual well-being but also drive the collective success of our teams and organizations. Also remember that your journey is not just about reaching the top but about bringing others with you. Embrace a mindset of abundance, and together, we can create a thriving community where everyone succeeds. Have a nice day 🫰🏻#CrabMentality #SupportAndLift #CommunityOverCompetition #RiseTogether #BreakTheCycle #EncourageGrowth #CollaborateForSuccess #PositiveMindset #LiftEachOtherUp #TeamSpirit

Business resilience can’t come from a single tool or a single person’s strategy, says Kari Anna Fiskvik. That’s why Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels)’s VP of Technology surrounds herself with team members who have different specialties and skills, as well as diverse backgrounds, education and mindsets. She tells Eva Fors fancy new innovations are only possible when your business has a healthy IT backbone. #SparkSessions
