Last week marked the end of a six month journey with this amazing bunch of folks as I completed the Advanced Certificate in Venture Capital by Singapore Management UniversityBig thanks to Prof Edward Tay for the guidance over 6 modules/months and bringing together amazing guest lecturers from the industry to share their knowledge. Appreciative of the classmates who are now definitely friends (we have a WhatsApp chat so it’s legit) and jointly bonding over the lack of bee hoon. Some even opening their own ventures during the course! Wanted to give a shoutout to my bosses (Sophia Ng Cindy Ngiam) for the support as I look to level up in this space. Didn’t think I would enjoy going back to class on a regular basis after graduating almost a decade ago but it’s been fun doing #lifelonglearning #venturecapital #smu #startups

When I was first planning for this trip, I scrolled through old photos of my trips to Japan to find something eye catching to post and *hopefully* secure enough meetings ahead of time. After a week here and clearing out almost 2 boxes of name cards, I must say I’ve had more conversations and connections to follow up with than I expected. There will be another time and place to reflect on all the learnings and observations *coughtripreportcough* but I thought I’d end off a week in Tokyo with a new photo taken last night that reflects the themes of high tech and sustainability (because literal green LED light) here at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 Global Startup Program Official Account . Shoutout to my boss and colleagues that made this trip a great one and praying for safe trip back tomorrow Wei Ye Tan Charis Soon Amanda Dizon Haruya Kojima Jeremy Lau Nozomi and Roy. Till next time Tokyo #innovation #ecosystem #sustainability #tokyo #japan #gundam
