If you don't know Absurd Ventures...you most certainly will soon. Founded to "create new universes in video games, books, graphic novels, scripted podcasts, live-action, and animation." ...and once you see the pedigree, you'll know this is not just talk. You might have heard of Grand Theft Auto. It's a plucky li'l franchise. If you're unfamiliar, you might want to pick GTA V up...kill some space acid clowns and get in the mood for GTA VI. ...Trevor is my spirit animal. Ok - so beyond the deep Rockstar pedigree here (which beyond Dan Houser, also includes fellow Okie Lazlow Jones and marketing vet Adam Tedman, among others), you've also got storied games industry hitters like Greg Borrud - and the ultra-connected dealmaker, Andie B Simon. I spoke with this team early on...and the gumption matches the vision. With the Smilegate pairing...this could get very, very interesting. Narrative mastery meets multiplayer mastery. This is definitely one of those "watch this space" situations. Big Congrats to all o'er Absurd & Smilegate way...big things, expected. No pressure. NOTE: this is not a paid post.
