Clarivate launches the first Pulse of the Library report

The first Clarivate Pulse of the Library report, based on a global survey of academic, public and national libraries, assesses library trends and measures the impact of technologies such as AI.

According to feedback from more than 1,500 librarians worldwide, libraries are excited about AI applications that support their mission despite concerns about a lack of AI expertise and tight budgets.

One of the survey respondents, Derek Brown, Director of IT at the Rochester Hills Public Library said:

“Even with AI, librarians will continue to be indispensable guides in the information age, fostering a community-centered approach while embracing innovative technologies to enhance library services.”
