#Flanders at #IWA2024 in #TorontoWater management is one of the key challenges of our generation, also for our region. Among all European regions, #Flanders tops the list in terms of water scarcity and drought risks. The World Water Congress - is the #IWA 's (International Water Association, co-lead by fellow Belgian, Peter Vanrolleghem) annual global event for water professionals, covering the full water cycle. We joined thousands of leading water professionals and companies to discuss those challenges, but also opportunities and solutions we can bring to the table! Our Flanders 'Blue Deal' (https://lnkd.in/epdcqscE), initiated by our Minister of Environment Zuhal Demir, is such an ambitious plan, with actual solutions, to combat water scarcity and drought, in the field through a multitude of campaigns. Rather than just focusing on the causes, the Blue Deal aims to develop structural solutions, and encourages a mindset shift. We are doing this by collaborating on several fronts. Not only with a spade in the ground, but also through legislation, with research, monitoring, communication and awareness raising. And International cooperation! 🚀 Exciting expansion news for Aertssen Group as the #Flemish company is launching its first U.S. facility in Rincon, GA. This new 380,800 sq. ft. Equipment Processing Center offers comprehensive logistics services, indoor and outdoor storage, and tailor-made technical services. This project will drive innovation in logistics and support the growing demand for construction and agricultural machinery. Since its inception, Aertssen Logistics has grown impressively. Initially, we stored a limited number of machines for the construction, mining, and agricultural sectors. Over time, we have evolved into one of the major logistics players in Europe! 🇪🇺 Our innovative business model, established in 2016, is now highly appreciated and we look forward to further introducing it to the U.S. market. The new U.S. facility offers comprehensive logistics services, indoor and outdoor storage, and tailor-made technical services. The site will be a critical hub for operations, enabling faster and more efficient service for North American clients. The opening of the EPC in Savannah marks the next step in our international growth strategy.
