"Thank you for saving me."
" ...Don't... don't waste your life, Stark."

Rylvan's rating:

Hellboy

(One of my absolute top favorite movie supervillains. Watching him in action during the World War II sequence made me feel the same mix of awe and dread I felt watching the T-800 in the first Terminator movie. Silent, uncompromising, lethal. And way cool.)

Rylvan's rating:

X-Men

(One of the things that I find most appealing about X-Men, is the close friendship and mutual respect between Prof. X and Magneto despite their belief in and commitment to directly opposing views. Real people could learn so much from these admirable, albeit fictional men, and not only in places such as Israel-Palestine, Northern Ireland, Kashmir, or Darfur.)

Captain America: The First Avenger

"A strong man, who has known power all his life, may lose respect for that power. But a weak man knows the value of strength, and knows compassion.

Whatever happens tomorrow, you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are. Not a perfect soldier, but, a good man."

Rylvan's rating:

The Incredible Hulk

(Another personal favourite movie supervillain of mine. I really liked Emil Blonsky, he was unrelenting and fearless hunting down the Hulk, even before he became a physical match for him as the Abomination, which I felt made him very interesting and compelling as a character and villain. Tim Roth was great, just a complete badass in this role.)
